We undertook a comprehensive review of ANDs marketing communications activity, including an audit of media awareness and perceptions of the company and its competitors. Based on a communications SWOT analysis, we developed formal communications objectives, a strategic approach, a set of key messages through which to define ANDs position in the marketplace and devised a detailed ongoing media relations and PR programme.

We delivered strategic recommendations for raising the firms national and local media profile, focusing on the key areas of organizing systems and resources, developing a proactive media relations programme and devising PR campaigns and platforms. Specifically, we recommended an approach to securing national coverage for the firm as a Budget Day commentator; we also prepared guidelines for use by the firms regional offices in securing local media comment.
